  • Arcipelago di Tavolara - Molara Porto San Paolo3

The majestic island of Tavolara overlooks the entire coastal territory and stands out as a landmark for the interior uplands.
Together with the smaller islands of Molara, Molarotto, Drago, Piana and dei Cavalli, it is part of the Marine Protected Area of Tavolara Punta Coda Cavallo, a zone of priceless naturalistic value that is protected since 2004 by the consortium of the same name, created by the districts of Loiri Porto San Paolo, Olbia and San Teodoro.
15 thousand hectares of sea and 40 kilometres of coasts overawed by the Mediterranean scrub and by the typical fauna and flora endemic species guarantee an incomparable sight.
Those wanting to discover the treasure of this territory can choose between different nature-based tourism activities: from hiking to diving, to a relaxing trip to the islands; you just have to refer to one of the many certified companies in the Marine Protected Area. Every day several boats sail from Porto San Paolo in the direction of the accessible areas of the archipelago of Tavolara.
